I've had quite a few of those. Are you using the boincview app ? I keep an eye out for long running ones which are stuck on 1% and kill them. I only get them on windows..

hope you don't mind me perusing your boards :) but i just wanted to thank you for this thread, otherwise i wouldn't of thought to check my boxes and find this one:

http://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/workunit.php?wuid=47258

it had been stuck at 1% for over 4 days =/ then two hours after i "fixed" the problem with a reset it ran the auto benchmarks and killed the two running wu's.

I think there maybe a problem with trying to suspend 2 or more wu's at the sametime.

anyways thanks again for the heads up.

BOINCview app? I'll have to check it out. I'm a still a bit of a noob in regards to BOINC. ;)

Anybody else noticing a higher rate of defective units? I've had 4 or 5 of them now and even though I'm catching them in less time... it's getting to be a bit of a pain. :(

on your preferece page-

Leave applications in memory while preempted?
(suspended applications will consume swap space if 'yes')

i set mine to yes and have less errors, not zero but less.

Great, so I will have to watch all my clients like hawks to make sure none of them get "stuck"?

Is this a common thing with BOINC in general or just this project?

Ok, no bad units in a couple days. I have a feeling this is related to the actual work. Not sure about it being a computer instability also though. I did have a little problem with my one computer that had this happen more than the others... or this could be a combination of problems.

At any rate, I LOVE this project! :D The feedback from the admins is just incredible. It reminds me of when the LifeMapper project started and it's what I always hoped Distributed Folding would have been. :D
