Anyone a fan?

I've only recently started watching this and have got most of the way through season 1 now and am hooked. I should be up to date in a week or so :)

Reruns until Juanuary :(

Friday nights are my TV night. Start with Firefly (yes, I enjoyed Serenity yesterday), SG1, Atlantis, right through Galactica

Oh, is Firefly back on? I watched the first 6 or so eps when they first ran and they were decent, kinda missed the rest due to the baby at the time I think. I'll like to try and get hold of these somehow though. Same for Battlestar Galactica, haven't seen any of them but want to start at the beginning if I can.

I've yet to watch the original Stargate series, but I do have all episodes to date waiting to be watched - 180 episodes or so :)

Battlestar Galactica.

Gonna go see Serenity next week.

Hope they get enough interest to do another series or 5. Great premise and great acting.

Fox must be some sort of retards to can the show and show it all out of sequence. :spank:

Anyone a fan?

Are you joking :jester:

Shame they just went on mid season break

BTW

I thought BSG 2x10 was the best SCI-FI i have ever seen.

Oh and we don't have spoiler tags :D

Damn, I've been missing out!!

All the series over here are on their mid season breaks now - CSI, Prison Break etc

Anybody got all the Battlestar Galactica's ??

PM me if you have...

Episode 10 was superb.

I felt lost without The-realworld.de until I got converted to Azureus and bittorrents.

Now Mininova is my friend.

I personally liked Flight of the Pheonix more than Pegasus, as i knew Pegasus was coming and it seemed natural that Admiral Cain was going to be a nut job. Nice the way they did it though, and the writing of the series is consistently good.

If it isn't to late, resist the temptation to watch BSG 2x10 until you have watched the preceeding episodes.

The Firefly series is running now on the Sci-Fi channel. And the Firefly movie is awesome! Every second of the two hours is crazy action. Intense pucker factor.

I've only been to the movie twice. May have to see it another 20 or 30 times to catch everything that's happening. Also my Mandarin is a little rusty. :p

I've just Season Passed Firefly on my Tivo, not sure how much I missed. Thanks for the heads-up, I've heard good things about this show.

Anybody here a fan of The 4400 show? I think they're trying to kill it by putting it on at midnight. It's a good show, I hope it gets a proper ending before it's canned.

You do not need to ever have watched Firefly in order to enjoy Serenity. My son hadn't seen the series and liked it.

Better than most of the SciFi movies in the past years.

Can`t get out to the flicks for a while so have to get to see Serenity somehow.
Can`t understand Fox for canning it and hope the film will get them to change their mind.

Anyone like the new SCI FI's ?

I have been watching Invasion, Threshold and Surface hopeing to fing something decent to fill in the gap whilst Stargate and BSG are on mid season break.

So far they have failed to impress, Surface is watchable sort off but i thought the other two sucked.

Bok

I've been watching Threshold but am getting a bit bored with it. Like anything else, it is too formulaic. Same thing every week :(

Don't watch any Sci-Fi and I've never watched a show religously before (if you don't count Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks games). But I have gotten hooked on Lost. I missed the first season, so I rented it from Blockbuster and checked it out. Man-o-man, what a good show! Second season seems to be pretty good too, but the 2nd season is still never as good as the first.

Instead they used a kid that was loseing his mind:hifi:

BSG's storyline at the moment is excellent.

I actualyl watched episode 1 (1st time I've seen an episode) last night. Was ok, but not that great, but most series start out like that anyway. When does it start getting really interesting.. ?

OK here is the ending The fleet makes it to Earth only to find that

The 12th tribe of COBOL was eaten by a herd of Trex,so they wiped out all

the dinosaurs and settled here and then later formed seti to look for any

more lost members of COBOL And here we are :jester: :rotfl: :jester:

You are correct it's not very exciting at the start.
The good stuff is in Season 2.

If you jump in at 2x10, 11 you will enjoy the episodes but you really need to have watched from the begining to get the best experience.

Fozzie

is in the storylines based round the characters which have been steadily developed through the series.

Whilst is may not knock your socks off straight away it is the becoming involved in the lives of the crew and the plight of the fleet that really starts drawing you in to a very rich and satisfying experience.

Once you have started to really empathise with the characters they then really start to pull on your nerves and heart strings with excellent episodes.

The main thread of the Cylon plan is always lurking below the surface too.

Great stuff

As PCZ says the bitch must die.

Lauren makes a good point. There's no reason to think these things are happening in the future.

Well jasong I was just joking around:banana: :jester:
If you look at the first BSG they did pick up the radio broadcast of the landing on the moon. So it looks like it does happen in the future
Not sure how they will do it in this remake of BSG

I haven't got around to watching much of SG1, just watched Atlantis 3x03 tonight which wasn't great. Ok, but just reminded me of the filler episodes of TNG too much. 3x01 and 3x02 were good I thought..

with SGA?

When is BSG coming back?

Does anyone watch Blade?

PCZ
08-07-2006, 04:51 PM
Foz

There have been 4 episodes each of SGA and SG1.
10x01 - 04 SG1
3x01 - 04 SGA
The 5th episode of both SG's aires Friday.

BSG starts 6th October.

Seen 6 episodes of blade so far.
I will continue to watch it but it ain't classic sci-fi by any stretch of the imagination.

Bok
08-07-2006, 04:53 PM
We've had 4 eps of SGA so far.

BSG is back in September I think..

I've got all the blades but only seen the first one. Was ok..

Not one of the regular episodes.
