How many machines (and of what caliber) do you have on Rosetta?

I've got the following:

2x 1.8 P4 (Win2k and Win2k3)
1x 3.0 HT P4 (WinXP)
1x 1.6 HT Dual Xeon (Linux)
1x 1800 AMD XP (Linux)
1x 850 Dual P3 (Linux)
1x 3000 AMD XP (Linux)
1x 800 AMD Duron (Win2k)

And my average R@H output, from Bok's stats says:

7-Day Average - 332
28-Day Average - 184

And from Boincstats.com (http://www.boincstats.com/stats/user_graph.php?pr=rosetta&id=784):

Recent average credit (according to Rosetta@Home) 258.91188
Recent average credit (according to BOINCstats) 172.63097

Something seems awful wrong, with my numbers being that low. I'd expect something closer to twice that number.

Am I nuts, or am I missing something?

If you click on anyone's name, and they don't have their computers 'hidden', you will see what CPUs they have.
For instance elf (http://www.boincsynergy.com/stats/boinc-stats.php?id=827&project=rah) or Darkness Productions (http://www.boincsynergy.com/stats/boinc-stats.php?id=784&project=rah)
You're numbers look low... an XP1800 clicks ~178 consistenly under Windows 2000.

Looking at your computers on the Rosetta site, only 5 of them have connected today, so I think something is up with the others. The dual xeon also looks very low. Do you have boincview installed to see what they are doing ?

It might be that some of them are not connecting.

I'd say you should have an output of >1200 per day, maybe even >1500 if all those PC's are running properly.

right now i just have 2:
work desktop, P4 3.4G, 1G RAM, Linux 2.6.11, recent avg credit = 96.20
home desktop, Athlon XP2100, 768M, Linux 2.6.11-mm3, RAC= 74.02

contemplating moving 1 or 2 more from FAD to rosetta

I know what's your problem. You are crunching several BOINC projects at the same time. If you check your stats you will see that you are running LHC, Predictor, PrimeGrid, Einstein and Rosetta. Your power is spread out.

My Windoz box doesn't seem to me to put out very much, and thats with the optomized client.I'm wondering if it's because I only have 128 megs of ram in it.All that box does is crunch so there are no other proggies interferring with Rosetta.:looney:

I don't think so. I seem to remember a post saying that boinc auto-installs on machines at the university after being deleted, so he just ends up getting a LOT of duplicate hosts.

Hell, I have something like 80 hosts, just because I've re-installed the project on a number of machines and haven't done any merges on them :)

128 is on the low end, Windows itself probably uses most of that so your in swap a lot but your RAC will start increasing anyway. I think it needs to have been running at least a week to get a decent score.

I would bump up the ram to at least 256 if you can..
