View Full Version : Hardcore searching OR How the heck can I track down this program?

When I was just barely getting to know the Internet(and a few months before my dad kicked my 16 year-old butt off the Net for looking at porn) I discovered a program that was a hardcore searching engine. It was what I believe most people refer to as a spider, and it was the closest to an actual AI I've ever been, in my opinion.

I was hoping to (1) track it, or something similar, down, and (2) apply it to learning about overclocking.

Can anyone help me track the program down, or even point me to something similar?

Google is all you need.

Oh and you were on the net in 1990??

Not saying it wasn't possible...just wondering if you've got your time frames messed up..

I know for a fact I was on the net before my 18th birthday :) I know that because about 3-6 months before my 18th birthday(and after I was on the Net) I got hospitalized for the third time to be treated for a mental disorder.

Because of my illness, I get confused a lot. I wasn't necessarily on the Internet in 1990 but I was on by about April of 1992, since I got hospitalized 3 months before my birthday JUne 17th.

Wow, I never really thought about how long ago that was. Wasn't that before commercialization? Or am I wrong?
