SIG ABC's for newbie

Would someone please provide me with the basics of making a sig for an old man?

Someone was kind enuf to make the above "cut & paste" sig for me but I need to understand it. I got the [ ] and img part, I know it's a URL, I think my team number is in it, not sure what the 105 is all about, and the sig came from a pre-canned location?

Help me understand please...

where do you want to use the signature?

In the Free-DC forum you would go to "User CP" -> "Edit Signature" and enter


[ I M G ] h t t p : / / 4 5 6 3 3 . r a h . s i g . b o i n c . d k ? 1 0 5 [ / I M G ]

(but without all the spaces I made) and click "Save Signature".

To me the URL looks like a redirection, which means that you surf to this URL and you'll get forwarded to another URL (in this case http://www.boinc.dk/auto.php?user=45633&project=rah&input=1074199139%20-%201&layout=1074199139%20-%201.jpg ) providing the information you'd like to see...

EDIT: I had the signatures disabled... now I see you already inserted the sig to the forums...

the 45633 is your ID number for rosetta
the 105 is the style background number for the signature.
if I change it to

http://45633.rah.sig.boinc.dk?197

it will look like this instead:
http://45633.rah.sig.boinc.dk?197
