I bought a new digital camera this morning and I've been running around the house experimenting with it. In the process, I've taken pictures of some of my various systems.

Since I've never bothered to post anything in any of the 'farm pr0n' threads before, I thought I'd put them up just for kicks. I always enjoy having people post pictures of their gear, so feel free to post your own here, too. ;)

My development workstation:

This is where I do all of my programming and design work.

One of my gaming systems:

This is where I beat up on IronBits at Q3. ;)

Another gaming system:

This is where Godmode usually sits when playing from my house.

My downstairs server rack:

This is one of my server racks. It contains several web servers, a PDC, a mail server, and some dedicated crunching systems.

Damn, send your house keeper over here would ya? ;)
Nice pics! What camera did you get?
I read that comment. ;)
I think you will be in for a pleasant surprise, er, painful experience, next go around.
The bots on nightmare are getting awful boring. :sleepy:
I could use a good challenge to sharpen up my skills... ;)
/me looks over at the big pile of rockets marked "Dyyryath" and "Godmode" :moon: :jester:
Of course we can't have anymore of you playing on a local LAN, while I suffer severe LAG going all the way across the USA to connect to your game Server.
Maybe we can get guru to put up a nice server, when you get all your work done and things settle down.
Of course, the more rusty you are, the better for me! :D
Bring your TUCKS, or just borrow some from Godmode, if he has any left that is ;) :rotfl:

Elspuddy: You can get those same shelves at Lowes or Home Depot. I don't remember what I paid for them, but they weren't expensive. They come in different widths, depths, and heights. I bought them because they can support a bunch of weight.

IronBits: The camera is a Sony DSC-F707. I bought it primarily to use out at the lake. It's much easier to figure out what went wrong during an inverted air trick when you can see it after the fact from a spectator's point of view. ;)

The camera looks like this:

Everything is so "neat". How do you manage that? Does the rest of your house look like that?

Nice pics Dyy! I'll see if I can't rustle up a picture of mine..i think I took a recent one. Just have to find it.

My father got several heavy duty metal racks from B&Q. They all hold a lot of weight. Workshop tools, not computers though.

I just found an old cheap digital camera and thought I would post my farm..such as it is... My work areas aren't as neat as Dyy's and my cabling is a mess.. oh well

Nice, Chinasaur. My stuff hasn't changed much. I've added another gaming 'station' to accomodate another local player for our evening games. The Razor's have been replaced with MX700's, and the Visor Edge has been replaced with a Zaurus. All of the systems in the previous pictures (except for one) have been upgraded with faster processors, more RAM and bigger hard drives. I've also added a DDS4 drive to my development workstation to backup my mobile drive when it's hooked up at night.

Other than that, my stuff all looks pretty much the same. :)

I've been planning to replace the 21" Sony on my development box with a pair of 19" flatscreens, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I've been working on my bike lately...

Dyy, at the rate you are going, I think you will be able to open up your very own cybercafe pretty soon.

Think about it, you get to crunch whatever DC project you like and still make money out of it from the people that uses your machines

Ahhh.. life is great :rotfl:

Heh, that's not as far off as you might think. :)

I'm house shopping right now for a place with a 'shop' separate from the house and a two car garage. The garage would become my workshop for my bikes where I could put a lift and all of my tools, and the external building would be dedicated to computing. I'm looking for something big enough that I could put in a drop floor, dedicate some space for racks, couch, entertainment center, small fridge, and still have room for about 6-8 'stations'. Add a TimeWarner Business class 2mb up, 2mb down net connection, and the guys & I will have a pretty good place to game.

The main house would get a wireless access point or two for my development workstation in the office, my compiling system (also in the office), and my PDA.

I've found a couple of places that would work, but none as close to my job as I'd like yet.

Dyy, Such a neat and clean computer area. It's a definite sign of a very, very sick mind. I would suggest that any friend of Dyy who reads this and can take him to the local PSYC clinic for treatment do so immediately.

Nice setup though and yes I am jealous. So there.:jester:
