I have installed Redhat 6.2 on a K7S5A with a 1700+ XP processor.

I could use assistance in where to unzip and place the file(s).

Thanks,
Bruce

Follow the instructions for UNIX in the Download page labeled 'UNIX Text Client Installation'.

http://www.distributedfolding.org/Download.html

I've always installed it in my home directory so in my case the files end up in /home/vsemaska/distribfold.

Yes, ./foldit is the command to run the client. It's a script that runs the software. Remember to set your default directory with the cd command to the distribfold sub-directory before running the script.

Also, if you want to use some of the client options that are available edit the ./foldit script and add to them to the command at the bottom of the script. A description of the options available can be found in the readme1st.txt file.
