looks like DATA left his old team and made his own team?

guess that is one less team nipping at our heals, only

OCN
KWSN
Ars-TSF

outproducing us at the moment

Data doesn't seem to want to commit to any team for long. By the end of the project he'll probably have been on most - if not all - of the teams. He may actually start a second go-round...

Anyway, we have two real current threats: KWSN and Ars TSF.
KWSN is one of those teams with one major member (over 33% of their results) and some hangers-on. The KWSN are still outproducing us handily and will pass us in a month unless we get some serious production increases. The good news is that they're producing at what seems to be their maximum rate; they don't appear to have a reserve of users off working on other projects who might come riding to the rescue.

TSF, on the other hand, is a longer-term but more serious threat. They don't have the huge producers that some teams have, but they have two advantages. First, they've got many more people, and a lot of them are active, even if they don't do a million a day. Second, TSF has diverted some of its resources to ECCp. When that project ends (anywhere from this evening to next June) there'll be about three weeks of bickering about how the ECCp people "pay back" the other Ars teams, and then a fairly good-sized flood of Ars people will show up and start crunching DF.

Even if Jodie keeps producing at her current rate, OCN still won't be a threat for some time. OCN isn't a very big team, and their major producers aren't much more productive than ours. If Jodie dropped production or switched teams, they'd be history.

Over the horizon, we have our old friends, the DPC. Their DF effort isn't major, but they've got truly enormous amounts of computing horsepower out there. If ECCp and/or RC5 end, those computers are going to get switched to something, and DF could easily be their next target. They're in 15th place now, but imagine what another 100+ DPC users could do.

Come to think of it, we should do what we can to prolong the RC5 and ECCp projects, just to keep Ars and DPC off our backs a little longer.

Of course, Free-DC could also do with a couple hundred additional fanatical crunchers!
