One of the annoying things about graphs on the Internet, where the stats are mostly words and numbers, is that the graphs tend to be long, and you have to do a lot of up and down and right and left scrolling to figure out what something pertains to.

The thing that really irks me is this problem was solved, possibly temporarily, even before the Internet. I remember taking a database editing class, and one of the things we learned was how to keep the appropriate headings visible. When you scrolled down, the column headings would stick at a certain point, and if you scrolled right or left, the row headings would stick. Is this not possible in HTML? Admittedly, I've forgotten most of what I've learned, but surely there's an HTML command that can do something similar.
