I'm here, but solo.
One lousy AMD XP core, running 4 clients.

ars seems obsessed with gaming the DC Vault points system. Reading on their forum, they spend a lot of time and energy trying to figure out where they can get the most points. Not sure it's meaningful, but they seem to like the bragging rights.

I'm not real happy with them jerking us around, responding to their "gauntlets".

I tested again the project on two machines with almost 350 wu's per half an hour but these zzz's just :swear: .

I'm so sorry Paratima but I'll stay away from eOn until I see some real feedback from Free-DC Team.

Yeah I was a bit disappointed today too. I've been running 10 clients on a dual core machine most of the day and it has been way down on production compared to a good day running three clients.

Sticking at it for now though.

As we all should know by now, that's the nature of the project. It runs like mad until it approaches an answer, then slows way down while the server does more and more processing. Lijun has been working on it for quite a while now and he's got it to the point where << usually >>, if it gets too slow, it gets a nudge over the rough spot. Doesn't always work, of course, and sometimes needs a human nudge.

If you can put up with it, that's great! If it bugs ya too much, then let it go. I just look in on my clients often enough to see that it's not completely stopped, like the other night when their network got taken out by a lightning storm (see my post on the main EON subforum), then I rattle their cages. Other than that, I just forget about it. It's doing real work, sometimes faster, sometimes slower, and that's just the way of it.

I note that ARS is sticking with it, despite the problems... :bonk:

Just an update of our progress:

- since yesterday we reduced the gap to UT Austin from 80 days to 65 days;
- yesterday the team broke the daily 100k barrier;
- Sir Bok tunned one machine, soon PCZ will be :stomp:;
- Jasong and Helix are having a good fight, Nitrousine wants to join but is getting behind;
- Fozzie is :geezer: after sTs950;
- Free-DC Mercenaries is trying hard to get away from black_civic55 and Bok, at the same time is committed to close the gap to Condor;
- birdman2584[Free-DC] is after PY 222 spot;
- rcoulter is the Free-DC eOn KING :D

- less than 2.2 M to pass UT Austin but that's not the real gap :thumbs:
- eOn was chosen as secondary project for the current Christmas Free DC push
- Free-DC Mercenaries got into TOP50
- Bok is back with more power
- birdman2584[Free-DC] is almost near PY 222
- paleseptember joined us
- K73 is:geezer: doing his/her way
- rcoulter is still the Free-DC eOn KING :D

My 2ND DSL line will be installed tomorrow (Thur) With that I can run 24/7 at 100% on Eon
Right now I am running 17/6 at only 75% nodes running Eon
So I guess We could expect a 25% increase of my output from 100K to 125K

And once we all start to take part I am sure our totals will XX XX

I'm waiting for the cold weather to fire up more cores, still three cores in idle. Meanwhile I'll upgrade my home machine to a quadcore. No problem with bandwidth...plenty at home and free at work.
