Anyone any good with paint shop / photoshop or can point me in the right direction - what I'm trying to achieve is a "glass look" to a page I'm designing now the thing is the areas I'll be "glass bubbling" aren't all of fixed height, width is fixed but height isn't.. just trying to figure out how to do this thinking something like make a graphic to fit the area, use a built in effect of some kind to get the "raised area" I am after then the fun part making it all work so that the text looks like it's been written on the raised area.
I don't think I can use PNG's with any form of transparency as hmm some browsers (yeah some people ain't upgraded yet) don't hack PNG's properly yet..
  & :bang:
I don't know what background I'm gonna use and I would love to be able not to have to redo the graphic(s) if I decide that the colour ain't right...

nice tutorial Lauren2u, no what I'm trying to do is I have a "blog" I know, the template is tired wanna refresh it with this type of effect basically lose the bordered areas and make it a smoother transition with a smoothish blend oh well keep looking... glass type so it looks like it's behind a blob of glass kinda thing way i've sort of got it means the text all ends up too pale..
