I recall as I was reading a mention of Beowulf. When I did a search it didn't bring up correct subject matter.
How fesable is this in this project using Linux and AMD processors. Also as I recall there was a mention of a queue I think and the ability to download the update then distribute it to the other machines. Also any suggestion on what motherboards to use? Some have integrated video and use memory and some have mention of a S3 video and I haven't looked it up to find if it is the same and shares memory to complete the video. I have also played with http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/*
on win XP and was it just my messing around alot or does this program work so I won't have to have monitors connected?

Thanks for your input.

Though my alegiance is for my team making a beowulf might be impressive and a recruting getter.

Instead of using a beowulf cluster, have a look at a MOSIX system which is MUCH easier to implement. http://www.mosix.org/

I haven't tried it myself yet but I believe Jodie has a pretty neat MOSIX cluster set up.

Or one step down from that is no need for a cluster at all. Since the project is already meant to be distributed, all you need is a shell script to SSH into your boxes and start/stop the client, or however you like to do it. The mosix mon tool is really good for monitoring in case they crash though.
