I am setting up ppstats with my personal server.
Pretty much got it working, but one question remains.

It doesn't appear to stay resident and refresh itself.
I am used to mrtg perl scripts staying resident

So do you have to schedule cron jobs for ppstats ?
Task Scheduler in windows ?

Is there a better way? a script change maybe.

You have to schedule it to run ppstats periodically

Bok

Are you seeing any work from me ?
My proxy is pointing at yours to send receive work.

Might appear as folding_xxx@somewhere.com

My ppstats only updates every 4 hours.. though that's about to change... I'm going to purge everything older than a month today then hopefully run ppstats hourly or more..

But no I don't see anything in the proxy logs from you at all. Have you done a flush at all? are you using pproxy.free-dc.org as the name ?

Oops

I had free-dc.org 2064
Changed it now to pproxy.free-dc.org 2064

Strange thing is though it has been happily retrieving/sending work to free-dc.org

not strange.. I put a proxy on the new box too, just because I thought Condor was probably still running it somewhere pointing to free-dc.org..and I was right :)

But that one does not make it's way to ppstats at all.

At some point soon pproxy.free-dc.org will be on the same box as free-dc.org anyways

OMG, you have purged the ppstats :D That's OK since I moved up some ranks :|party|:

One question: EST is UTC-5, regardless if daylight-saving-time or not? Or am I wrong? http://stats.free-dc.org/dnet/ogr/byemail.html

Is it possible replace the EST with UTC+/-X? Or am I too much of an control-freak? :D

All working fine now.
ppstats is the tricky part.

Bok, purge everything and start from scratch.
Perfect timing with it being the start of a new year. :)

I agree about with IB about purging the logs.

Don't have to delete them though, move everything 2007 and older to another folder, then run ppstats once to create a legacy page.
Then folks could see the old stats if they want.

We are "missing" data from 29th to 31st of December, data before and after that are available...

WE can probably recreate Decembers data. I still have all the logs for that..

dp has finally found out why it is taking so long and it's fixed, so right now it's running every 30mins :) :woot:

Now to decide whether to just start from scratch..

Bok There you go thinking again ;) No one gives a rats butt about totals for ppstats.
PURGE clean for 2008 :)
I like the idea of a historical page mentioned, maybe one for every year from now on?
Purged at the start of a new year, every year.
Stats run every 30 minutes?! :woot:
