Memory change on minimize

Well i was watching the memory in task manager in win2k advanced server when i start up the client. When i minimize the console the mem goes down to 0 and counts up to about the 70mb mark. Even though the memory useage graphy thing stays at a constant rate when i minimize it, what is the cause of this and is this a problem or how its ment to work?

Does anyone else get this problem or is it just me?
I would try it but i'm now using linux on my machine.
