After running a couple of days (and uploading the results), I experienced a power outage (courtesy of the electric company). When I subsequently started the client, it began numbering structures from the beginning again.

My question - are the servers smart enough to handle it properly when for the same protein my client uploads a _different_ fileset which starts at the same structure number as a previously uploaded fileset ?

The numbering simply tells you how many structures you've generated since the client started. The server doesn't care about it.

When the client is started/restarted the structure counter begins at 0. Since the structures are generated based upon a random 'seed' and the odds of getting this seed twice are incredibly (laughably) small, there is nothing to worry about.

but work was indeed lost since the dead client had no way to check in. This is another reason why I suggested that we be permitted to set the checkin minimum lower; so data loss would be minimized.
