Got some overnight... this'll be the project for me if it gets going properly, don't think there is a linux client yet though...

Not sure how often the stats are exported, I think it's only once daily, so we'll see if I show up when they do..

you need to check your returned wu's, as a lot of people have scores set to zero. if there is any issues with the wu, you get zero!!

Just giving a heads up. i have stopped running the project for now. but as you say BOK this is one to run

ack, I can live with that. I lost a lot of time on MilkyWay recently, workunits on linux running forever, but doesn't bother me too much :)

Can't watch them anyway, till I'm home again later in the week...

Yeah, I've got a couple with ETAs of around 48hrs, too.

Hmm, 42hrs in at ~62% with estimated time remaining of 22-23hrs. These are huge! Hopefully they will validate and get uber-credit. :) Anywhere close to finishing yours yet, Bok?

I've got 7 running on various PC's. Closest one to finishing is ETA 16 hours right now..

Both of mine are finished and reported.

259,743 seconds, claimed 1,235.69, granted pending.
266,469 seconds, claimed 1,267.69, granted 1,267.69.

That works out to just over 17 credits per hour, per core (so far).

That sux majorly! Let's hear it for alpha projects. :looney: I haven't Bok's patience; that would tend to irk me.

Post about it on their message boards, if you haven't already.

We all know what to expect when you attach to an alpha/beta project, so we can't really complain about failed work units.

Got some more work units over night. Estimated to take ~135 hrs, nearly twice as long as the last ones.

yeah, I got some too. Had some major problems uploading the last lot from my 64bit linux boxen. Seeing there is a lot of debug info in the output files, they are fairly big. The transfer would keep stalling at around 10%.

After playing about with it I found, if I changed the MTU on the interface down from 1500 to 1412 it uploaded fine...

My first 10y finished at 171h on a Q6600 @3.4gig Linux.
It first looked like 100h, halfway 140h so it surely slows down on the way.
No problems with the upload, what's MTU? I wasn't at home while uploading but guess it was about 2.3mb big.
Claimed credit only 2407 but that's with the old Boinc 5.2.13 (yeah kinda like that one), hope they switch to fixed credits.

MTU is Maximum Transmission Unit, basically the packet size.

I have 13 Orbit units in varying states, all 10Yr ones. Most complete is at 82% with ~ 30hrs to go. Boincview estimates it at 3,673credits right now!!

Let's hope they get validated ok.. I still have 6000credits in pending from over a week ago :)

Thanks :)

I have 2 ones nearing the the end on an AMD X2 Linux 70/88 % done but they use 208/270mb of memory, way to much for my taste, started out with 5mb :(
OK I switched to boinc 5.10.45 on that box to get some more credit :D
