I'm working on the graphs for the Folding sub-section's stats pages and I'm trying to decide how big to make them. If I make them small enough for really low resolutions, they are hard to read and they look ridiculous on a big screen (I run 1600x1200). Of course, I don't want them so big that the majority of our users have to scroll horizontally to see them.

So, what resolution do *you* use?

one of the things i read a few years ago on web design, suggested designing to 800x600 ( yeah - i know - OUCH! ). web sites i've done, i go for 800x600 as the default legible. looks great at 1024 in the process. 1024x768 isn't really that uncommon anymore for being a "standard" resolution. the machines i configure here at work go out at 800x600 ( old folks & bad eyes ... ). with the amount of "eyes candy/web design GOD" ( we're not worthy ... ) goodies your doing, i'd say 1024 ...

FWIW ... ;)

1024x768 is my choice resolution. I'm sure it will go to 800x600 one of these years, but not yet :D

Used to be a 1024 x 768 person. Just bought me a new monitor for the home system. Now I'm happy at 1280 x 1024 again! Your choice is good with me. ;)

1600x1200 dual-head on 19"s. Its very easy to get acustomed to a 3200x1200 desktop. :D
