Hi
if I click on About in sob 0.98 and in Help that window I get a wierd thing appearing in the main window of sob. Did you use this for debugging and forget to take it out?
I just hope it didn't ruin my block or client or so ...

Do you know if it did? I mean it went all the way down from 162 to 136 blocks left, is that normal?
Thanks for any replies!

P.S. incase you need my log file it's here:

could it be that your computer has been ofline in the period from 4:04 to 11:55 ? If that is the case, and if you had a client running in this period of time, then it is perfectly normal.

In windows, the only thing that gets in the log-file, is the work sent to the server, not the work done by the computer.

fraid not, I have ADSL ;)
but it could be that ZoneAlarm kicked it out ... it often does that if there isn't any traffic for a while!
What really interestes me is what that small window at the bottom of the sob-main window with hexadecimal numbers was ... is that meant for debugging or what?

Tax Bracket asked the same thing in the "Easter Egg"-thread, he got no answer though. :(

I am experiencing this on several machines, actually. One is the dual P3-450 whose log I attached in another thread. Here is the relevant section for this machine

By the way, the "Max Size" limiter for the logfile in the config menu doesn't seem to work. I entered "100", and the log is currently 141 KB, according to Windows Explorer.

EDIT: Just walked around to several machines. Every one had a decreased block count at the time I installed the 0.99 client over the 0.98 client on that machine. The only exception was the dual P3-450 machine, which only had a replaced sb-smp.exe, rather than an overlay installation of the second .exe.

I hope this doesn't mean that all these k values will have to be re-entered into the queue!

... or perhaps the # of blocks are decreased because the client is crunching faster now?

As the blocks are 2.5 times as big as they were before, block count decreased of course...
