Panning.sys ????

I'm looking at a friends Toshiba laptop and she keeps getting an error at boot up that says "Panning.sys is corrupt or missing on line in the config.sys" ....or something like this!!!!


anyone have any idea, I looked at the index and could not find anything.

It's a Toshiba feature that lets you set the screen resolution higher than the native resolution, then when you move the mouse to the edge of the screen, it will automatically pan the desktop over to the "offscreen" edge.

You could try re-installing Toshiba Video Panning from the Configuration Builder CD if she has it. Or else just kill the line in config.sys and do without.
