Would you like to create a prover account for yourself at the top 5000 site. ?
http://primes.utm.edu/bios/newprover.php

All the primes the project finds get entered there.

Oh my giddy aunt!
First time I found anything but trouble :D
Cheers mate, will do that.
The I7 is a flying machine but had to cut it down to 4 cores and it'sstill running at 90C, but quite happily. Just waiting for some fittings to get it waterised and then should be good to go full blast cos this project loads very heavily and uses nearly full six Gb of memory.

OK done the account, so how do I do the submit bit. Been a bit busy so not finished reading all the bumpf yet.
Appreciate the heads up.

You have created a prover account and prover code correctly.
Good Job.

BTW
The range of K's you are currently working on 3401-3999 on port 7771 is the 1st drive,
I moved your report from the 2nd drive thread to the 1st drive thread.

I7's do run HOT, especially with HT enabled.
A good heatsink is essential.
I use these

Sorry, still not finished reading all the bumpf and a bit busy with another 2 I7s for somebody else. I run mine on a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme and Coretemp says it's running 90C, Speedfan says 82'ish, and others say summat else so hard to figure. but it seems quite happy and not throttling so what the hell. Might switch to a spare IFX 14 with 3 fans till I get time to do the water. Fans are running fast and noisy but it is 26C in here. May put one of my other server rigs on as well cos the 2 I7 video servers aren't doing half as much as the 3 duals they replaced. But yes, it doesn't like HT and 8 LLR's running at 3.8Ghz tho' it does do it and use 5.6 Ghz of memory! At 4.2GHz it does throttle tho' on HT so LLR is using everything it's got and a bit more. Might invest in a pair of Xeons when the price drops a bit cos I could really do with another high power server and those 5XXX range are peachy.
Appologise for the off topic guys, just trying to fit everything in.

Do not overclock to much because the CPU will start failing on LLR producing bad residues. This means that a prime can be passed and all results be later re-processed.

Thoroughly checked Carlos. No problems, just too much heat. Needs 1.45 for 4.2Ghz, so backed off to 3.8@1.32v true and 110W draw on the cpu. Just need to sort the water out to get rid of heat better and run 1.45-1.5. Tested on Memtest and Prime for 26hrs solid with no errors but started throttling with HT and 8 cores. No probs without the HT at 4.2Ghz, HT just puts that bit extra load. These new D0s are the bees knees if you get a good core from the wafers.

It's all your fault for getting me involved with this
I sold the bungalow and built an I7 instead. Might have to build another one now or maybe a dual Xeon 55XX. Lot less trouble and no planning permission required :hiya:

Shish

I have added email addreses for yourself and Gary to the llrnet server.
You should get email notifications when you find primes in the future.
This is assuming the addys used to sign up to the forum are still valid.

Thank you kindly. Mine is my current business email so gets checked regular. Meant to do the contact thing but been a bit snowed under.
I'm adding the other 4 cores of the ht 4 core as the rig is now >7 days stable, despite the heat and can probably switch to the 2nd drive server if that's where it's needed more.

You found another one
Did you get the email notification ?

Shish

Yes it works well, but I've been laid up and on my back the last few days, just sorting backlog out.
I'll report it soon as I can. is that OK? or urgent?

PCZ

Not that urgent no, do it when you are able.

OK, got it figured and done thanks. Just as well I don't have to shepherd as many resources as some of you guys. Memory is also going a bit and it takes me longer to get anything done with the continuous drain on my physical and mental resources, but I'm pulling an all nighter tonight and tomorrow to get a bit caught up. Never been so busy as when I gave up work or mebbe it gave me up and I can't handle the 48hr days and 120 hour weeks though it still seems I'm doing them.
And Please guys, no BIG AHHHHHS for the poor badly done to old guy....:hair::rotfl:

Soz if this already covered but someone been on this family rig and my homepage is set to here jus now so dunno wots been posted. Tried both ports and checked server site, says 0 left?

Bit surprised it's only 1 person got the mbf? Not to worry, plenty of WCG which runs anyway....

Here's my offer...

I can start up here the llrnet server but I never ran it under Vista 64 bits and there will be no stats or prime notification.

I didn't know that.
Anyway, my hands are empty, nothing to give to Free-DC's Prime Search.

Carlos
We have the servers no problem there.

Problem is this.
Beyond has the files for drives 1 and 2 so we have nothing to load up.

I am sieving 3600-4000 and 6000-7000 to catch up to where we were.
This in addition to the 7000-8000 range is a massive amount of work.

I am as yet undecided on the future of the project.

Right now the project status is on hold.

Can we chat privately? I have some ideas...probably a few match with yours...
