So does anyone know about these Augmented Cat 6 A cable?

Are they really 10 X faster then Standard Cat 6 cable?
:umm: Can the really do 10 Gb?
I have been replacing my old 10/100 Routers and Switches
with Gigabit Routers and Switches.

Should I replace the old cat 5E lines with the new Cat 6 A cables?

Not unless you want to waste your money. ;)
You would not notice the difference, ever.

I have used these on 10Gb Lauren. They are specifically only for short runs (very short ie patch length) and won't show you any noticeable difference except possibly on very long runs outside of normal lengths where you would use fibre anyway. Even then, they are only good if every other part of the system is top knotch and still the difference is hardly measurable. As IB says, don't waste your money.

Well I had already picked up one 100' length to connect

the house DSL Gigabit Router to the garage 5 port Gigabit Switch

And then that will feed my four 16 port 10/100 switches

Like a Main Trunk line.

The Price for it was only $8.00 more then normal cat 6

And you know me I have a vary busssssssy network here

It wont make any difference, but if you are buying cable anyway and it is only a few bucks more then go for it.

I have never used wire for 10Gig connections.
All the kit i work with has fibre at 10Gig.

Short lengths may work but i would feel very uncomfortable with anything longer than a patch lead.

Supposed to work up to 10ft but we only used it as a patch or inter connect up to a metre but mainly 45cm. For multiple connections, it saves a fortune with the new 10Ghz switches (not sure they're available yet in normal retail channels) .
