I have restarted the client 3 times now and i still cant seem to connect to get another WU. Anyone else having problems this morning? Client has been working fine for weeks.

It's evening here now ;) but i can't report a block right now. Client seems stuck again and is not performing any work :(
I'll restart it with intermediate blocks transmission off. Hope it won't take as long as last time.

<edit> looking at the stats the server seems down.

I see a "Login Successful", but the block is at 100% and stuck.

My boxes can't login.

Also my Athlon XP rig is going EXCEDINGLY slow, down to 40k, even my Duron 850 is doing 85k, on almost identical units.


My stats are suffering with this :(

If the client is waiting to logon to the server it doesn't perform any calculation. Thats why the average cEMs go down. Your Duron is probably in the middle of a block so it's still working.

I think the client does time out after a couple of minutes, and should start with the next block. My pc just finished a test and has nothing to do any more.

All of my clients have halted. I have switched everything back to SETI until this is resolved.

yeah.. heh.. the server had issues again and the load was around 50 therefor nothing was working. should be fine now - sorry.

Yup, finally got my new test (but have to finish my snfs factorisation first).

It seems not all stats are updated. for example, the personal stats pages are over 10 hours old. Except for the graphs which seem current.

yes, it sent it fine.. and the graphs will update once the script runs again

It would be nice if I can connect to the server. Neither of my clients will connect so it doesn't seem to me that the server is running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The server is up which you can tell since http://www.seventeenorbust.com works and since the graphs are showing that cEM/s are being completed.

After client restarts and about a 10 minute wait my clients are indeed connecting.

yeah, that downtime was my bad guys. i was trying to make stats better and i ended up croning a few jobs that never finished and starved the server of mem/cpu. then i fell asleep because i had been working on it all night. :sleepy:

the problem is fixed now. won't let it happen again. thanks for being patient and understanding.
