I have found Ud_Monitor to work really well in the past.
I am not sure if it is really caching in the purist sense, it sets up multiple agents on your machine and automatically flips between them when one finishes. You can select the amount of cached units as well.

Another cool feature is that it will sound an alarm or run another program if it does not have any more work to do (all agents finish) so that you can start Genome or whatever you like.
