A few days ago I noticed the ECM section of the ECC2 forums (http://www.ecc2.com/forum/). It is in fact a totally separate project for factoring large numbers. The project is also run by JBerg (and others?), and the website is here (http://ecompute.org/factors/).
From the stats (http://ecompute.org/factors/statistics) (updated hourly) the project clearly isn't particularly popular, but I figure that its probably because of the lack of publicity. Also, apparently, there isn't really much point to the project, but I won't say any more before I'm accused of putting people off :) Check it out.
