I think it's time someone gave Microsoft a kick in the ass ... please follow the link and do something to stop microsoft bringing out palladium!
What do you think of Palladium and TCPA?

even rabid /.ers know, Palladium != TCPA, and TCPA was not designed to facilitate DRM: Read this (http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=03/01/24/1757221&mode=thread&tid=106) and tell us what you think.

they contradict themselves! They say a backdoor wouldn't have a chance, as the operating system would be changed and so wouldn't function:

If, however, a hacker successfully attacks the client, and installs a back door, or keyboard monitoring software, the TCPA system will notice that the operating system has changed, and will not release the key, thus protecting the sensitive files from attack.

What about freeware? What about programmes that don't have the liscence to run under TCPA or Palladium? What about small companies that can't afford the liscence, and what about countries that America hates and won't sell liscences to?

I say: :moon: to Microsoft and the other 200 companies supporting TCPA

this is how they are going to track you so they can gather you up one by one for the train ride to the computer realignment camps:scared:

"find those things that people will give up without resistance, and when you have it all, you can rule the world" Adolf Hitler

you can monitor my computer:

WHEN YOU PRY IT FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS:swear:

and behold a darkness fell across the land and it was called "right" "fair" and "just"

and all that was, was gone:shocked:

I'm not sure I'm ever going to get tired of reading Anarchy99's posts. It's like he's had about 10 to many cups of coffee every time he posts. ;) :D

I'm pleased to see that I'm not the only one against TCPA/Palladium. I thought it might be possible at the beginning that I would be flamed and told that I'm talking a load of rubbish :)
Great! Carry on spreading the word against TCPA!

I'm not steadfastly against it yet, but I am far from convinced that it's going to be a good thing.

I need to spend more time with the whitepapers and gain a deeper understanding of it before I make any kind of opinion.
