Ok... Here's my thought. I go to a small University (approximately 200-300 computers). I want to ask them to run seti on the machines there, but I will need a good write-up, and will probably have to present my case before the SysAdmin(s). What I need is cause and effect of seti, reasons to run it, ways it can help the University, etc. If this works, count the university in for approximately 600 / day :D

I would suggest having a Q on campus, so you can have it connect at night when they won't notice the hit on their bandwidth.

a few things to think about.....
are they having problems with systems going down ?? Yes, then Seti is good for monitoring, you can use SetiWatch to monitor them all from one location/box.

if they are sitting around idle they are wasting cpu cycles that could be helping Science.

they could get free help from you, checking up on their systems once a week or everyother week.

Burn in procs and/or testing them before sending them out to remote location on the campus.

I know there's some better reasons out there.
