Hi, folks...got up this morning and found that my boxen have been unable to connect since around 6 a.m (EST). Web servers seem to be down as well. Is it just me or is there a problem here.

I don't have any idle CPUs yet, but it's getting very close!

It certainly looks like they are down once more, its becoming a bad habbid, wonder if I should mail them or if they'll fix it by themselves fast enough, Ill also soon have idle CPU.

just so you guys know, the server has only actually had a real problem once this year.

the other "server down" issues have all been related to small blocks of the internet disconnecting from one another. as in, only some of the people experienced the problems.

it's not your fault... more the fault of master dns servers. our project has a wide enough distribution of people that this has actually started to become an issue. the internet is not as reliable as we'd all like to believe. in other words, we really just need more dns records scattered around the world so that this won't happen as much.

No worries Louie

One thing I have noticed, though. All my 'big producers' have submitted work over the past hour or so, but my stats graph hasn't changed.

Is there some process that precalcs the data the graphs use? Does that run less often than the 'generated at..." message over the graph would lead us to believe?

BTW I think I just passed you in top 100 total production today! :)

(I know, I know, you The_Man too)

Another problem (maybe connected to this one, maybe not):

A couple of hours ago I got this strange thingy:

[Wed Feb 05 23:17:22 2003] logging into server
[Wed Feb 05 23:17:28 2003] login successful
[Wed Feb 05 23:17:32 2003] n.high = 1781010 . 9 blocks left in test
[Thu Feb 06 18:52:01 2003] got k and n from cache
[Thu Feb 06 18:52:04 2003] restarting proth test from cache (k=4847, n=2216511) [80.9%]
[Thu Feb 06 19:31:28 2003] logging into server
[Thu Feb 06 19:31:29 2003] login successful
[Thu Feb 06 19:31:29 2003] server had no record of proth test, test abandoned

I submitted a block yesterday, so why was there no record of the test on the server today?
Approx. 40 computing hours lost...
