Over at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org

I'll at least get a badge in it...

I'm on it and don't forget The Clean Energy Project - Phase2 (https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/cep2/overview.do). :guntotin:

Bok, is there any way to automate putting WCG badges in a signature?

Oh, that's a little disappointing. I had read there was an exciting new project coming up, but I hoped it would be medical science. Ah well, it all helps I suppose.

Not yet, not until they export their Subproject (https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,26299) data as it's just not available in the current xml :(. SetiGermany offer a service to do it on an individual basis, though I believe they are crawling the website to get the data. Not sure if they have permissions for that or not as it's not good netiquette..

Excellent - I will sign up for this project as well.

All I have ever done is WGC and it has been really could to me with no errors ever, however I would like to branch out just a bit. So, is there another DC project out there that someone would recommend? Looking for another good solid DC item to add through Boinic/BAM! for my computers to crunch.

Hi DCGalen,

Welcome to Free-DC !

it really depends on what you're personal interests are. WCG is very stable of course. Something like Rosetta@Home, Einstein@Home or PrimeGrid are all well established projects with little to no problems. I would maybe just add to 5 or 6 projects and use the project share resources to allocate how much CPU you wish to give each. If any of them cause problems set them to no new work.

Regards

Climate prediction is another solid project but have to have the patience to put up with the extra long WUs.

Been away from the site for some time - had some PCs die and lost a few others but I've locked down to this and CE on my solo Linux box for the moment :) Hopefully my numbers increase a bit now :p
