Just thought I'd end this debate once and for all. I was reading the perpetual TBR thread (http://arstechnica.infopop.net/OpenTopic/page?q=Y&a=tpc&s=50009562&f=122097561&m=8370936635&p=5) over at Ars and saw a post by TheJet (member of the dnet team):
I can confirm that to the best of my knowledge, all windows clients version 8014 and above have the truncation bug fixed.
