Here is a big cold one for everybody  for bringing Free-DC into the Top 100 in OGR - 24.

We are killing the rest of the teams with our output!

Way to go.

Now, if we could ge OGR - 24 on the frontpage of Current Team Rankings, I would love Team Free-DC forever :notworthy

Congrats to everyone! Impressive achieve.

Seeing as we are "stuck" on OGR-24 stubs for the time being, the TOP 20 is easily within reach. :D

The way the team is currently churning out OGR 24 stubs, I am sure it is definitely possible for a Top 20!

So lets see where we can go!

Might be time to revive this thread, It looks to me like dnet is going to run OGR-24 all the way through till the end this time. So the possiblities are even greater now for us to move further ahead than first expected/hoped. However participation this round seems to be growing as more people become a) aware that it has restarted in earnst, b) participants run out of OGR-25 stubs. Having watched the overall statistics, and the overall active members numbers growing daily it becomes appearent that we are in for a little tougher climbing up the ladder this time around.

Here again, the key to success is steady crunching, and the all important "deep" cache. It is best to build that cache up now and keep it filled as there is no way to tell when they will be depleted on the keyservers. As we all noticed on the last run, there where teams that extended thier run by 2 or more weeks after the keyservers ran out, in fact I believe the DPC never cleared thier cache before dnet started releasing 24's again.

It's early yet in this run, if it is in fact a run to completion, but early numbers indicate that the covented top 20 spot is achieveable. As stated earlier in this thread, that should be our goal.

Large cache of ogr-24 coming right up :)

Beyond, what kind of cache sizes do you recommend for individual machines?

I am not too sure how much I need because I don't really want to get myself a large cache and defeat the purpose of the project at the same time.

Dnet recommends no more than 3 to 4 day cache to cover any server outages. But I believe this is really a recommendation for RC5, as it is near impossible to predict the size, time a OGR stub will compete. So, with OGR-24 I keep 100 stubs on all machines, OGR-25 only 10 which seems to be a good ratio 10:1 and most of the time they will complete within a 24hour time period. But then again, I do most of my cacheing on the proxy(s) that I run.

I don't know why anyone would think I had a stash of 24's, after all I only crunch what dnet sends out http://24.174.34.241:8080/images/smiliesfor%20BB/Up_to_something.gif PM's to follow shortly. ;)

Then I suggest you get a move on, as that Train is only behind you on the proxy stats, as of last dnet stats run you had yet to break into the top 100 users overall. :haddock: :D

All of us are dried up already.

I just looked into d.net-stats and what did I see?

Yeah! We climbed up one rank! It must have been sometime the last few days...

 :jester: :|party|: :elephant: :drums: :bouncy:

Now we are at #19 with 1,332,315 GNodes crunched, yesterday we had a #3 production with 4,775 GNodes!

Thanks to Condor, Beyond and Nitrousine for crunching OGR-24 to make rank 19 possible

When will we run out of OGR-24's?

Oh no! :swear:

We fell down a lot of ranks! Two weeks ago we were on #19, no we are on #24 :swear:

OK, I do not need to :swear: because I didn't crunch a lot of OGR and at least no OGR-24, because the keyserver handed no 24 out to me.

Todays situation:
Overallrank #24 (-1) and falling...
Overallproduction 1,440,272 GNodes
Yesterdays production #74 (+14)
Yesterdays output 6,185

But OGR-24 moves towards completion 94.98% of the stubs were done. Some of us say that it will take a few days to complete OGR-24. We will see :Pokes:

Long time no update...

Everyday I ask myself when OGR-24 will be finished... The Progressbar is at 98.60%

OK, todays team-situation at OGR-24:
only contributer: Condor! Here is a  from IBs fridge for your hard work on OGR-24
Overallrank: 26 (+/- 0)
Yesterdays rank: 9 (-3)
Overall GNodes: 1,489,763
Yesterdays GNodes: 3,005

Todays team-situation at OGR-25:
contributers in order of output: ECL, rus6, Condor and Free-DC Hydra Central
Overallrank: 184 (+/- 0)
Yesterdays rank: 172 (+32)
Overall GNodes: 4,261,338
Yesterdays GNodes: 5,145
The Progress-meter of OGR-25 is at 72,03%

I'm currently at DF to defend my wonderfull rank of #21. It wont hold very long but I enjoy my stay at #21 :D

Crunch on!

Yet another update after a long period...

I think we've found some new OGR-friends because of the protein-changeover at distributed folding. Or it's just because in the last days of OGR-24 their last stubs were sent out. Don't know. But we are doing a great job!

Current situation at OGR-24:
big contributers: IronBits, Condor, rus6, Beyond, Wirthi, the Hydra Central, PY222 and Alpha
Overall rank: 22 (+1), we burned up some ranks since my last update
Yesterdays rank: 14 (-5)
GNodes overall: 1,605,389
GNodes yesterday: 16,814
Progressbar at OGR-24 tells us that we are on 99.54%

Situation at OGR-25:
Overall rank: 182, climbed a bit since my last update!
Yesterdays rank: 93 (+36)
GNodes overall: 4,401,791
GNodes yesterday: 7,056 (we had more gnodes at OGR-24 :D)

OGR-24 should only take a few days or weeks with their 99.54% done, don't know...

Happy OGR crunching
