We're in danger of losing 3rd place to Team Endeavor (DSL Reports team). They are out-producing us at about a 3 to 2 rate.
Let's get a few more farms cranked up!
3D Headquarters is also coming on strong. They should blow by the Ars smorgasbord shortly, and be on their way up the charts.

The client is very good under *nix. I noticed that one of my windows clients had stopped, so I re-started it. The *nix clients just keep going. :)
I have 4 AMD 1.4GHz boxen on it now. Should see me climb like crazy ;)

Don't worry I'm planning on moving my rc5 farm over to Distributed folding this week. I've already moved a couple of systems over. I'm stilll waiting for my login problem to be resolved before I move the entire fleet over.

Good News. I got my login resolved and I'm should be showing up on the team anytime now. I currently have 234447 units. I'll try to double that tomorrow.

i am almost out of boxen :( , and as has been mentioned , the *nix client rulez!

If you go Free-DC Distrib Fold Stats (http://www.free-dc.org/distfold/stats.shtml) - that page gets the stats live. You may have to hit refresh

It has been 779938 all day long... damn client must be fubar. I stopped them, watched each one upload results, then restarted. Let's see what happens with that now before I start digging deeper.

Would it help if I moved my farm over?
I'm having horrible Java crashes on one box. Thinking of dumping Ubero until I can make it work without crashing.
Any comments?

Colin - you'd do fairly well. I have approx 5.5GHz on it right now (give or take) and I'm in third. That could just be because I got such a good jump on the project :D But I'm doing fairly well, and I'd love to see you take down FoBoT as the Teams #1 producer :D

How often do the stats update? I've had four boxes on it for a few hours. One box shows 5000 done but the others uploaded at least once. Still nothing from them on the stats.
ANd the client does not seem to like Win98 at all. Crashes regularly.
I don't think ColinT had the firepower to take on me let alone FoBoT. But I would like to see him try. We're only 10,500,000 units behind second place. I think we are starting to gain on them now.

Some folks have reported that this project is not as tolerant as some of OC'd boxes - <horrors !> - who would OC a perfectly good AMD?
A new bug-fixed client was also released today. Maybe try that one? It will just overlay your existing install.
IF your stats are not showing up, perhaps you didn't get the handle entered correctly?
BTW, the new client (2/28 version) will not run at all with an invalid handle.

I DLed the client about 3PM this afternoon. My stats ARE showing up. I will not be a threat to Fobot (Curse him) but the rest of you guys are in trouble:)
I show 40,000 done so far. I had two crashes, but none lately.
I left Ubero temporarily due to excessive, persistant crashes of Java. I'll be back there in a while. It won;t be long before you guys are paying me to go back:)

Heh, well, yeah. But I have a secret up my sleeve if I can convince one of the admins at school. They might not like that the client still isn't fully stable yet, but oh well. I'd gladly babysit :D

Hell, I felt the pressure a long time ago... I wish the client was stable on FreeBSD, cuz then you wouldn't be catching me so quickly.
Hell, if I could get this other box to boot up, I'd be in that much better shape.

i'm still looking for a free BSD guru in toronto to help them out
i haven't been able to email a friend of mine that is a linux heavy that my be able to wing it
but i do have a line on a p2-233 that would be good enough for them to compile /test on
hopefully sometime next week i can pull this together and howard will be able to start working on the freeBSD client
i am swamped at work (been here 13 hours today) :(
