Tkc Server

Has anyone noticed that the server for TKC is still down? Not just the team part anymore either, the whole system is down... :trash:

We've replaced the problematic part with a new one which should hopefully completely correct the problems with the server disappearing randomly. There is still a very high load on the current network, though, so until we can ease that (just a couple more days until the extra hardware comes in) the server will still be pretty sluggish during peak hours.

Sorry for all the mess. These things happen when operating under very heavy loads.


I hope they get their extra hardware soon! I want to :dump: my generated keystrokes, mouseclicks and scrolls :D

Oh, just in case it wasn't clear, the server CAN be reached at http://68.59.165.14/ for now. If the IP changes again (which it darn well better not) I will add a notification here.

For a temporary workaround you can set the server in the TKC client to 68.59.165.14 instead of keycount.piqsoftware.com. I will (later tonight) put up a news post on the main site to that effect so everyone can at least have a chance of getting back in for now.


At least I'm not getting any complaints

So our teamstats are available at http://68.59.165.14/teams/details.php?team=Free-DC and my stats (http://stats.the-mk.dyndns.org/tkc/index.php) will be updating every hour (temporarly changed stats-url in my dataspider)...

I hope the IP of the TKC server doesn't change :rolleyes:

This was just a DNS issue... the server should be now available at keycount.piqsoftware.com. You can reconfigure your clients to pulse to keycount.piqsoftware.com

I don't know why it shows that server down for maintenance message, but I can pulse, they are counting my pulses and I can make hourly a statspage (http://stats.the-mk.dyndns.org/tkc/index.php) of it :rolleyes:

This is very very weird. I am getting the same thing as what Moogie is getting but if I were to click on the link that MK provided, I could see the stats page!

Can somebody please tell the Project Admins that the main stats page is borked! :swear:

Yeah, there's a lot left to do. I am VERY mad that I haven't been able to get decent RAM for the server, so we're stuck with some disabled features for now. Meanwhile 10 trillion things have come up and I have just no time to finish things like scoring.

Maybe things will clear up soon. But probably not. So, don't get your hopes up
