I am moving interstate (from Melbourne to Canberra for those who are interested) on Monday for 3 weeks of work :elephant: and I'd like to write a little perl script to run wvdial (broadband isn't cheap for the underemployed here!) to connect and then stop the DF client and then run the DF client in upload only mode. I thought I'd check and see whether there are any pitfalls I may not be aware of before I embark on this bold experiment or whether someone already has a suitable piece of perl or shell!

Any feedback muchly appreciated.
