The most likely cause of this message would be running out of memory. Does this sound right?

Not with 512mb of ram, I wouldn't think...
W2k, dedicated cruncher, XP1400, not overclocked, no Service packs installed, on private LAN.

When I start the new client, it sometimes says:

ERROR: [002.002] {buildit.c, line 256} Cannot set co-ordinates

This was after a new reboot (Ram should be free - 512MB) and it was the second time in three days. No other errors ocurred in my error.log.

Could it be that the folding is started too early? Should I start it manually after windows has completely started?

gOhAsE, according to another thread here somewhere, this is an innocuous error and should be ignored, if possible.

Like, "What error?"

I doubt it. I'm running the Tru64 UNIX version of it on Alphas with 2-4GBs of physical memory and I'm getting this error in error.log. This version of the client is taking only 93MBs of memory to run.

I normally run the client from 8PM to 7AM each night and this error occurs from several (about 6) to many (a couple dozen) times during the night's run.

I've managed to isolate the problem to a single function, during the energy minimization procedures. I have NOT been able to catch it in the debugger yet and fix it though. When its fixed we'll let you know.
