Supposed to have fixed the priority and service stop/start issues:

YES - it is fixed!

And besides that - he also fixed the bug which made it impossible to run 2 clients as a service!

As I have been testing a few pre-releases for the version, I have been talking a bit with Howard - here is the quote from him about that bug:

Hopefully it won't have any
weird side effects.. Itll be in today's update too. Ill add a way to
rename the service later.

Do I have to update the client by redownloading it or will it update automatically?

As far as I know you have to download it and replace the existing client, the auto-update is only used when the protein type changes.

Hey, you guys with the big, phat pharms...yeah, you, Dyyryath. Don't forget to stick in that one-byte "autoupdate.cfg" file. I can just imagine Howard switching the protein and a couple hundred client machines all start crying "Is it OK to update?"

O, the embarrasment! :o

From the readme, when run as a service:

"...updates will automatically be accepted (provided they are digitally signed) in this mode..."

Can I just unzip it and exract the contents into the existing distrib folder or should I delete the folder and start from scratch?

Virus,

I just copied all the new files in place. Worked fine.

Ditto...
Stop the client.
Extract all the files into the client directory, overwriting everything.
Start the client. :)
