Yes, you read that correctly: 1 billion results. SETI@Home is one of the oldest and most popular distributed computing projects out there. Many of us originally began on SETI@Home. That's actually where I first ran into <b>IronBits</b>, <b>ColinT</b>, and <b>JTrinkle</b>. I've since moved on from SETI, but the projects obviously still going strong. Wow! 1.5 MILLION (for all of us) CPU-years! That's impressive.

I know I logged in a big chunck of processor time on SETI (for Ars, btw)...

Thats a lot to say the least. Seti was also my first DC project. Ran it on a AMD K6-2 450mhz overclocked to 500mhz. That was my first experience with overclocking too. It took some time before I caught the DC itch ( I blame it on the DPC and Eccp-109) but when I did I found that I was forever searching for more power (GHZ).
