setting standard for DC projects at Free-DC

seems to me all this "Free" stuff leads to chaos and disorder

i think the powers that be need to draft some rules or standards by which all DC projects must be measured before "Free" DC'ers can run them on our "Free" DC boxen

where is the head "Free" DC'ers ?

I take it you've been reading those threads over at Ars "Sucking The Fun Out Of DC" Technica. Seems every few months they have to spend a couple of weeks kicking the same dead whale down the beach. They might as well rename themselves "Ars Bureaucratica." Isn't it sad when the old neighborhood goes downhill like that?

We already have established rules and standards here at Free-DC :bang:

1) Thou shalt do as you please with your boxen, or not
2) Thou shalt run any project you want, or not
3) Thou shalt choose any project, or multiple projects to run, even at the same time, or not
4) Thou shalt recruit, recruit, recruit, when possible, or not
5) Thou shalt help thy neighbor, even if s/he is a newbie, or not
6) Thou shalt keep thy boxen well tuned and cleaned, or not
7) Thou shalt keep us all informed of project success and news, or not
8) Thou shalt keep us abreast of the latest client releases, or not
9) Thou shalt give others encouragement when needed, or not
10) Thou shalt give Dyyryath the :moon: if you are ahead of him, or not
11) If you find a project that is 'worthy' and want to start a team, let us know and we will create one.
12) If the project lacks good stats, we will try to find someone to create some for you
13) Thou shalt create your own rules as you go, or not
14) Thou shalt help thyself to the virtual fridge and muchies closet, or not

The GOLDEN RULE: Thou shalt have fun!, or not ;)
