Decided to give RC5-72 a rest for a bit. Im now running DPAD :)

Just have to figure out why manualsend isnt working...says it cant find an ftp server.

Im running:

Athlon XP 2000+ (1766 Mhz - 24hrs/day)
Celeron (400 Mhz - 6hrs/day)

Looks fun. Nice graphics too, when you want something nifty to look at :)

Welcome to the team
I haven't run this project in so long, I'm not going to be any help. :(

Haven't been active on that project for ages; I'm waiting for version 5 that has been promised to come out ... uhm .. on easter holidays 2003 :) Haven't seen it yet.

Yes, really cool graphics, thats what I like on this project too (besides the science part). If you want to improve in the stats you will have to run the textclient though (since it is much faster).

Yea, the graphics are probably a big CPU hog, esp since I have integrated graphics. Im running the CLI version with MuonMonitor.

:)

See if we cant improve Free-DC's rank 10. ;)

Unfortunatly that rank is wrong :( Check out http://stats.dbestern.net for accurate rank. The old rank panel is pulling results from old v4.2 stats.

Argh.....:swear:

Not that I am doing anything worth while;

20031030-185629 95 results sent to stephenbrooks.org
20031030-212427 99 results sent to cgmuonftp.homelinux.org
20031031-012949 47 results sent to muon.rdsroot.net

without as much as a hint that they are making it into the stats...

BTW, it took me about 48 -72 hours before I started showing up in the stats. Here are some links to the ftp ques.

Not that it matters too much right now, because I don't see you in que right now. Check your user.txt to ensure it says Beyond[Free-DC.org]

I'll keep an eye out in the raw stats for any oddities

Look in your results.txt file and see if the ones that you are completing are using the <SolenoidsTo15cm> or <SolenoidsOnly> optimizations. That would help me figure out where I need to be looking.

AND look at results.dat (if you are using an "optimized" verison of the results.dat that you downloaded, just check the part YOU actually calculated - it's cleartext and cointains your username on every second line or so...)

Once you have uploaded the results.txt gets emptied but the results.dat keeps your results.

Beyond it's probably because you are using 4.32f beta version. 4.32f units won't make it into the stats until after it's released. Your data will be there and it won't be useless crunching, just letting you know it won't show up for a while. I used 4.32e while it wasn't he official release and it was why my stats didn't show up for a while. Once he set it up to recognize 4.32e in the results.dat it plucked my points into the stats.

My results.dat does not show my username either, it believe it's been changed.

beta is good then........:) Thanks for the answer.

As far as I remember results.dat and results.txt do have the same structure. Either my brain cheats me or Stephen has changed something. Probably both :)

magnav0x, any news on V5?

He must have changed it Wirthi, because results.txt and results.dat do not hold my username on any of my clients. I believe when manual send sends it's data it just grabs the data from user.txt, which would make sense. It's probably a lot more efficient than appending an extra field to each and evey result returned (a lot less bandwidth required for the entire user base).

And no, no mention of v5 since I started the project :(
I assume he's still chasing bugs in 4.32. Hopefully after everthing is resolved we will see v5.
