There is a bittersweet element to this event. Roy was not mauled. Roy was not attacked. The sequence of events goes like this:

Tiger comes on stage, turns left instead of right.
Roy goes after tiger to get him to come back on stage.
Roy slips and falls.
Tiger stops and sees that Roy is hurt.
Tiger picks Roy up and takes him back to cage - "a place of safety".

Unfortunately, the way a tiger would handle a hurt cub, grabbing it by the scruff of the neck and dragging it off to a place of safety, isn't such a very good way for tigers to handle humans... :(

Yeah...I had read this. I'm just thankful that it looks like he is going to recover. In an interview, his partner said that plan to return to business as usual. I hope they'll be able to do that.
