Mandrake 9.2

9.2 is out a little early for club members. Bittorrent download. After hours of searching mandrakes forums trying to figure out how to use bittorrent, I finally got the program from a google link.

Bittorrent =file sharing.

I started recieving the download at just a few kbs, estimated time 40 hours. Soon was up to 130kbs. Computer crashed and when i restarted was very slow download again. I ended BT and restarted hoping for better connection. It worked- 400 kbs. Done.

I've found this to be a great bittorrent client: http://azureus.sourceforge.net/

(yes, I know it's java, but try it out and see if I'm wrong!)

I just went back to the forum to see what my problem with finding the client was. It is there in a link to a FAQ. Would have been nice if it said- 'get client here' etc.

I spent a lot of time yesterday setting up my software manager, kept getting error messages. And when I got it fixed I searched for bittorrent to no avail.

Don't know when I will install 9.2, was just burning my vacation time fooling with the :trash:
