If you're having problems with the latest screensaver client from Distributed Folding, this may help:

Screensaver bug - Invalid arguments

We had a short-lived bug in the new screensaver which is now fixed. If you are getting the error "Bad arguments" or "Invalid arguments" when running the screensaver, please re-download the complete screensaver package from the Downloads page. If you are not getting the error, proceed with the update as usual - it works fine. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

In other DF news, the new client is turning in points much quicker than the last one. Ars is already trying to take advantage of this:

Posted by Aegion in the Ars Technica Forum:

The new software algorithem update has now occurred. This is confined to just altering the software algorithem for the project, and not actually altering the protein we are working on. This new algorithem software is extremely fast, giving everyone the opportunity to accumulate points extremely quickly! Team Stir Fry team members that are running more than one distributed computing project should keep in mind that this is a perfect time to focus the majority of your computing power on Distributed Folding. Everyone should make sure that your computers have been update, the key indication is that you should end up processing 100 structures per generation as opposed to 50 with the old algorithem.

Incidentally, we outproduced Free-DC with the last update, lets pour it on and keep up the pressure!

As you can see, we're going to have to do something about this...
