As the subject of the thread implies, the question is:

When will 90% sieve point exceed 200T?

My guess is January 25th (GMT).

Any other guesses?

Are we doing 2T/day on 90% sieve point? That would be a great amount of work! :)

btw.:
How 'bout adding some spice to these polls?
Winner gets 50,000 points extra.

I think we're all going to be wrong :(

Even though the page currently reads

Current 90% sieve point: 190.691T

So much work has been done from 200T downwards, that as soon as we reach 192.9T, the 90% point wil leap to about 201T.

Nuri seems to have put a bucket load of factors in earlier, and I just submitted about 800G of factors, so in the 21:00 update we should be up to 191T, then at Thu 03:00 we could be over 192T. So we could get to 200T sometime Thu or Fri :D

And just a little bit of info. The 90% point is generated from the previous set of score data, this is because the 90% number is required before the next scoring run starts. What this means is when you submit factors at (say) 11:00, those factors will be displayed in the 15:00 update, but they won't move the 90% point unit the 21:00 update.

If I understood it correctly, 90% sieve point will reach above 200T as soon as the total size of holes below 200T falls below 20T.

As of Wed 21-Jan-2004 15:07 update, they accumulate to 20,891.45G.

We've averaged 1,000G per day over the last week (which I expected to be around 850G, thus 25/01 :D).

Anyways, being able to move faster than expected is a good thing.

BTW, I guess if we can maintain this average speed in 2004, we'll be able to finish up to 500T by year end 2004 (may be much earlier in case of another prime and/or another client upgrade).

I bet on 27/01, 27 is my favorite number...

Current 90% sieve point: 192.437T

It's going to be today ;)

Edit: Or more likely Friday

as of the 0300 GMT update

Current 90% sieve point: 201.119T

Looks like MikeH is the big winner...hmmmm now where did I put that prize...
