It's Alive!

I ran out an bought an ASUS A7N266-VM mobo with a Volcano 6 HSF. I rebuilt my dad's computer with it and it's working like a god. I'm going to finish it up today hopefully (downloading all updates and patches and everything right now). After that I'll give it a run on a DC project to see how it's crunching.

P.S. Anteraan, I didn't have to use the XP 2000 chip to get this thing going again. His chip turned out to be fine. I'm going to pay a few bills and then teach my g/f how to build a computer using your chip! Thanks again for it. I hope by spring that it will be up and crunching if funds go right.

I'm glad the chip worked out for you. I replaced it with a 2500+, and I'm loving it. It was a great upgrade, so it looks like it was a win-win situation for all involved. Take care, and keep in touch.
