I was going to run DF on this computer (K6-2(3?) 533), but I only have 64MB of extra SDRAM memory in my house, which puts me well short of the amount needed to even run the program, let along use extra memory?

So does anyone have any SDRAM they are willing to part with cheap (less than 4 or 5 dollars)?

Thanks in advance,

PC133 or PC100 rating SDRAM? If you tell me I may order you some off the net and have it shipped to you.

I was just posting here to see if anyone has any lying around the house. If no one does (which I am pretty sure hell will sooner freeze over), I will just wait the 4 or 5 weeks until officemax(orstaplesorcircutcityor___) has it cheap with mail-in rebates.

Just figured I could get it crunching for the same price faster!

I have some here somewhere. I will locate it and you can have it. I will try to get back with you on Saturday. If I remember right it is 64Meg Micron chipsets that I pulled out of a compaq prettysorryo. You can have them both.

Just make sure both RAMchips are the same type. You don't want to be running PC66-PC100-PC133 intermixed. So be sure before you use it. If you don't get what you need from Racer, I'll buy you a 64MB SDRAM chip of the rating that you say yours is and have it shipped to you. It'll be OEM I'm sure but it's like eight or nine bucks.

Thanks

I've got some, too. How about a 128mb Kingston? Or a 128mb OCZ Select? Both are PC133.

I've got a whole stack of old SDRAM lying around here...

BTW, that's a really cool offer, CaptainMoose. You're fitting in great around here!

@Dyyryath: If that stuff isin't the cheap PC133ONLY RAM (the anemless crap that dosen't work right anyway), I'll take a pair of sticks (so that I can use the extra RAM, get me up to 4 or 5 thousand points a day). E-mail is at magicfan241 at netscape dot net . Tell me what you want for it and where I send the money to.

@racerX: The ram is to go into another COMPAQ prettysuckyo 7470.

Thanks everyone,

If anyone is interested in EDO ram ... I have 3 sticks of PC100B (that is what is on the sticker that is on the sticks) 128mb that I have no use for. If someone would like to give them a home just leave a reply.

Got your sticks today, Dyyryath!!!

It is running the 1st generation at the almighty rate of 1000 structures an hour.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I have 533 more megahertz added to the pharm of magicfan241

magicfan241, running around 5Ghz, which produce enough points for 10 Ghz.
