Errrr, umm, delete filelist.txt and try again?

This message usually results from (a) power outages or (b) other unplanned restarts, or (c) actually tampering with filelist.txt. If any of those occurred, it may be best to just do like it says. :)

Otherwise, help Howard & Elena by describing your operating system and noting the contents of error.log.

Also check for a filelist.txt.tmp file, and if it's in your DF directory, then rename it to filelist.txt (after getting rid of the old filelist.txt).

Well I am getting the same error as well on my dual rig. Posted a note in another thread about this as well, where more ppl seem to be having trouble with the client on a dual cpu machine.

For the record, here all the specs I could find. If you miss anyhting, just let me know.

I am using the Intel compiled client at the moment, but have had the same problems with the GCC compiled client.

At the moment I am running Gentoo Linux (http://www.gentoo.org) with the 2.6.3-r1 kernel. Have had the same problem with the 2.4.xx kernels.

Using Gentoo means the whole system is compiled ont he machine. This means huge loads for hours and hours if not days. The machine has never crashed or locked up in that period. The temps under full load never pass 51 degrees celsius. When I am not at home (and the heat is turned of) they do not even pas 36 degrees (with continues load >2).

Made a seperate user account for distributedfolding, with a seperate dir for each client. The clients are started from the rc scripts and are stopped by removing the .lock file (also rc script). Before that, i started them manually and killall foldtrajlite.

I've attached error.log and filelist.txt from 3 instances.
