View Full Version : Is there a program to measure CPU temps in Linux?

Just wnodering, because I have my fans running full blast, because I am afraid of overheating the sysytem, but I want it to be quiter. Down from Jet plane taking off, more toward, I've got a wind tunnel inside of here.

And if there is, can you tell me how to run it, because I will have no clue how to do it.....

yes,

you need lm_sensors. If it's installed just run

sensors

I've not used it for some time and it's dependant on your chipset but go here (http://secure.netroedge.com/~lm78/) for details
