Yup, it seems like some of our teammates have found yet another project to tinker with! Grub appears to have developed a small group of practitioners here at Free-DC over the last week. or so. After some shakedown time, we'll see whether it needs a forum of it's own or not. Until then, here's a short blurb about the project from the official site:

Grub's goal is revolutionary - to track down every site in the world and provide a real-time map of the Web.

Leveraging the power of distributed computing, Grub allows everyone with an Internet connection to participate in the last frontier of discovery. By downloading the unique screensaver, you can donate your computer's unused bandwidth to probing the hidden depths of the Web.

We're embarking on a journey to crawl every site, every day. We're not there yet but we're on our way, and every person who runs Grub makes the project better and faster. So if you've ever aspired to be a modern day Magellan, this is your chance.

If you find this idea interesting or appealing, head over to the forum thread in the lobby following this project and talk to those already doing it. They can give you the skinny on how to get started.

Dyy, thanks for the frontpage pimpage

This might get the project more publicity and hopefully more members!

As of right now, team Free-DC is floating below the Top 100 list but come tomorrow, we should be Top 100. We will keep you guys updated.
