There are new clients available for MD5CRK for windows and Linux. I'm not sure what the changes are in the Windows client, but the Linux client should fix the problems I was noticing. I'll report back if it did.

apart from the change in the way the info is shown (now get a %age and some info regarding DP distance) I've found 0.8.5 to be 15% slower on the AMD 64 3200+ (whether it's the work it's doing or the client, I'm not sure)...but the P4 client is also slower at by ~5%...

I'm running my AMD64 2GHz under w2k atm, so when stats start getting done, you will be able to see how it works.
Then I'll toss the Beta XP64 on it (no 64bit drivers for the nics yet) and see how that goes ;)

Well at least it fixed the problems I was having with the P4 client under Linux.

Just fired up the new client. Hard to say but it doesn't seem any slower on my XP 2400+. The new stats featured within the client are excellent, it's the kind of stuff Jeff offers in ecc2GUI, and we're still only in beta!

The new client now works properly with hyperthreaded CPU's.

You can now run 2 instances on a HT CPU without any problems.

On a 3.2ghz P4 one instance of the client would score around 14.2
2 instances gives me 2x 8.6 thats 17.2.
Quite a big boost from the hyperthreading.

Wow, must be nice to have a HT processor right now :D
