I have been having simular problems sending of units.:bang:

It can me up to half an hour just to send half a dozen units and can also just as bad uploading new units.

Berkeley has been experiencing problems with network capacity. What's new.:(

I'm having problems too.

When the first unit tries to auto-transmit it can't.
It waits for an hour to retry, thus blocking all other
units from connecting.

I found that it's best to manually transmit. When I
get the "Can't connect to server" message, I just
keep trying. The first unit may take two tries, while
the second unit may take five.

There's no rhyme nor reason to the transmit connection!

I bang my head on the wall! :bang:

There's some cussin' involved too! :swear:

I had the same problem. My solution was to use setiQ, by far the best cachng set up I have tried.

When you connect, it will keep trying for you without effecting the processing of units (as log as you have some to crunch).

I still get problems sending units back but have yet to run dry of units to crunch.

Setiq will even work for someone with one PC :)

I'm now using SetiQ and Setistash, which work pretty well together for what I want... unfortunately with my crappy 56k I couldn't get in all my units for the final day...
but they are there now.. so thats what really counts :D

I think we've all found things that do and don't work for our particular situations. It should make a big difference the next time we do this gauntlet thing in the SETI arena and of course day-to-day for the SETI regulars. I had forgotten about SetiQ, but it really does help. ;)
