I tried to install MD5CRK, to run as a Win32 Service, but everytime I try to install (md5crk.exe -install) I receive a message like this, on the MS-DOS Prompt:

"Service was NOT installed successfully. on Mon May 03 10:52:08 2004"

How can I fix this?

Another question: the client generates some XML files, on the "wokunits" directory. Any problem if I delete these files?

What OS are you running? Are you an administrator or does your account have Admin access?

I think my account has admin. access, because I can create/remove directories and files, and install softwares. I am using Windows Me.

Hehe, well that is your problem right there. In Windows ME there is no concept of Administrator and it doesn't even support Services so you won't be able to install the client on your box as a Service.

You need Windows NT4, 2000, XP, or 2003 Server in order to use Services.

hehehehe. Too bad, i would install it on 6 PCs here at this lab:

2 Pentium 4 1.6 GHz
1 Pentium 2 400 MHz (work as file server, always turned on, even at weekends)
1 Athlon XP 2600+
1 Athlon XP 2400+
1 Athlon XP 1800+

Only 1 Pentium 4 has Windows 2000, I think I will install the service on it. The other 5 PCs use Windows Me. I hope Windows 2000 will be installed on these too, very soon. It would be very cool, my stats going up like a rocket. :D
